Portrait Investment

  • At Studio Layne, we do NOT charge a session fee! There is a time retainer fee of $80 due at the time of your booking and all of this is applied to your order. When we book a session for you, we shall dedicate 90-120 minutes just for you.
  • At the time of your sitting, a $80 deposit is due and will be applied to your entire order.

  • Because we dedicate so much time to you, we have a strict cancelation policy as follows: If you cancel within 72 hours we shall apply all of your reservation fee to a new time. However, If you cancel within 24 hours, we shall reimburse half of your reservation fee.
  • We do not allow any proofbooks out of our studio! At the time of your sitting, we shall schedule a viewing and ordering session to be held within two weeks of your sitting date.
  • There will be an addition "Rush Fee" of $50 if you need this ordering session to occur within 3 days and a $100 "Rush fee" if the ordering session needs to occur within 24 hours.
  • If the ordering session is rushed, the ordering session must be scheduled when you schedule your portrait session and the non-refundable rush fee is to be paid with your reservation fee.
  • At the viewing session, you and your guests will view a slideshow presentation of your portraits as well as view recommended wall portrait groupings and composite designs.

    We invite you to create your own package based on the portraits you select! You make your decision based upon the number of units purchased. This gives you control over the size of each portrait in your package. You make your purchase by a set of units where

    One unit equals the following:

  • One...8 x 10 or
  • Two...5 x 7 (must be of same pose) or
  • Two...4 x 6 (must be of same pose) or
  • Eight...Wallets (must be of same pose) or
  • One 5 x 7 with Four Wallets (must be of same pose)

  • All portraits 10x10 and larger receive mounting and a light lustre textured coating
  • Basic retouching will be done on all portraits and is included in the cost. More involved enhancements are available for an additional fee.
  • All portraits may be printed in natural color, black&white, or sepia toned at no additional fee.
  • Ask us to make a composite of all poses (available for an additional fee).
